Abstract

Injuries are the actual problem of modern society. The most problematic and complex contingent of trauma patients are injured in road traffic accidents (RTA), they are also the main contingent of hospital patients - more than 68% [4]. Among the injured in a traffic accident pedestrians prevail 53.3%, within the automotive injury is 46%. Many authors have noted the annual growth of the number of deaths in road accidents [3-6]. The main reason for hospitalization of patients is multiple and combined trauma, accompanied by a traumatic brain injury [7]. In the structure of the injuries of the RK for 2009-2010 head injury on 3rd place after the trauma of the upper and lower limbs. [1] The highest percentage of patients the hospital with a head injury (63%). [3] A large proportion of traumatic brain injury, high mortality and disability suffered, of course, bring the problem to the category neyrotravmatizma priority [8]. Knowledge of the nature of neurosurgical damage in such severe injuries like road would help to improve the training of emergency room physicians, neurosurgeons, trauma surgeons, to help in the work of the specialized departments in planning work as well as in the study of injuries in general in order to develop prevention and mitigation of accidents. The injury characteristic in patients with severe neurotrauma after road traffic collisions in 2006-2010 at Semey and its vicinity is present in the article. The results of this paper will be useful in the planning of neurosurgical health care system and traumatism research.
