Abstract
Cervical cancer - a disease of the female reproductive system, which is characterized by the development of malignant tumors of the cervix. In virtually all cases of cervical cancer occur as a consequence of human infection with the human papilloma virus. The disease is one of the most frequent pathologies of cancer in women. Cervical cancer - a disease of the female reproductive system, which is characterized by the development of malignant tumors of the cervix. The main symptoms of this disease are pain and uterine bleeding, and in some cases there are no symptoms at all. In such cases, the disease is diagnosed by chance during a routine checkup at the doctor woman - a gynecologist. Modern science has reliably demonstrated that cervical cancer is due to the presence in women of human papillomavirus (HPV). Of course, this does not mean that absolutely any woman who gets sick of HPV is to collide with cervical cancer. Typically, the development of cancer results in the presence of human papillomavirus 16, 18 and 31 type. Doctors - gynecologists and oncologists is to date two types of cervical cancer. In the majority of cases - about 80% - a cancer malignancy develops from cells lining the cervix squamous epithelium. The remaining 20% of all cases of cervical cancer malignancy develops from those cells that are responsible for the production of cervical mucus. Such a phenomenon is called adenocarcinoma of the cervix.
