Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis - a systemic disease of the connective tissue, mainly affecting small joints of the type of erosive and destructive polyarthritis of unknown etiology with a complex autoimmune pathogenesis. The disease is characterized by high disability (70%), which occurs very early. The main causes of death from the disease are infections and renal failure. The causes of the disease are unknown to this day. Indirect data, such as an increase in white blood cell count and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), to indicate the nature of an infectious process. It is believed that the disease is caused by infection that causes disorders of the immune system in genetically predisposed individuals, in this case formed the so-called. immune complexes (from antibodies, viruses, etc..) are deposited in the tissues and cause damage to the joints. But the inefficiency of RA treatment with antibiotics is likely evidence of irregularities such an assumption. The disease is characterized by high disability (70%), which occurs quite early. The main causes of death from the disease are infectious complications and renal failure. For the first time may occur after heavy physical exertion, emotional shock, fatigue, hormonal changes during the period, the impact of adverse factors or infections. Aetiology As with most autoimmune diseases, there are 3 main factors (Rheumatic triad) 1. Genetic predisposition 2. Infectious factor 3. Start-up factor (hypothermia, giperinsolyatsiya, intoxication, mutagenic drugs, endocrinopathy, stress, etc.).
