Abstract
This article shows that vitamin B12 deficiency anemia is found not only in the elderly, but also in middle, even the youngest age category. If the main reason older people vitamin B12-deficiency anemia is atrophic gastritis, then in middle age - chronic pancreatitis with exocrine insufficiency and subtotal gastrectomy, and young - increased consumption of vitamin B12 in thyrotoxicosis.
