Abstract

In research it is established that at comparable anti-hypertensive effect therapy losartan and its combination with hydrochlorothiazide surpasses amlodipine concerning retrogress of a hypertrophy, improvement of geometry of a left ventricle that confirms existence at losartan additional cardio protective properties at the expense of activity blockade a renin-angiotenzin system and, probably, other effects. Losartan specifically influences the factors participating in development of remodeling of heart at arterial hypertension, including its neurohumoral link.
