Abstract
The article presents the data on aldosteronoma of adrenal glands, as a case of practice, when it was very difficult to put a clinical diagnosis. Aldosteroma called a tumor originating from the cells of the glomerulosa zone of the adrenal cortex, resulting in a syndrome of primary hyperaldosteronism - Conn's syndrome. Benign tumors of the adrenal gland (adenoma) are the leading cause of primary hyperaldosteronism (PHA), accounting for 70-85% of cases. Less than 5% of the tumors are malignant in nature (malignant aldosteroma). The disease usually manifests itself between the ages of 30-50 years old, male to female ratio is 1:3. It is important to note that among all patients with hypertension, about 1.5-2% of cases is caused by the PHA. The pathogenesis of the disease are changes in various organs and systems due to the increased production of aldosterone. After removing the aldosteroma approximately 70% of patients has normal blood pressure, even at 20-25% of persistent moderate hypertension is easily corrected by conservative therapy. Significantly worse than the results of surgical treatment of diffuse nodular hyperplasia of the adrenal cortex.
